About

Everyone knows. Someone should say it.

The Quiet Parts Out Loud is a podcast about esoteric, political and cultural history. Each episode stands on its own, runs 25 to 35 minutes, and goes looking for the uncomfortable thing everyone knows and nobody says. That is the quiet part. Then it says it, out loud, with the sources attached.

The tone is informal and a little dry. The facts are another matter: claims are checked, sources are linked, and anything uncertain is labeled as uncertain. Mystery here comes from the material, not from promising you secret knowledge.

How it works

Episodes are grouped into seasons, and a season can contain several different narrative arcs. New episodes every Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. Eastern. Each episode will get a companion ebook of roughly 50 pages, and each season will get one too. They are not ready yet. When they are, they will be on the ebooks page.

This site is also a blog. Between episodes there will be stories: companion pieces, notes from the ebooks, and things that did not fit in 35 minutes.
